Below: each chain's brand-wide rules from its official site, plus sourced Miami tips for MIA and county dog parks.
Policies change: confirm with the hotel. Pet fees, weight limits and the number of pets are set by each brand and often by each hotel, and can change without notice. We read every chain’s official page on . Call or message the hotel to confirm before you book, and declare your pet at check-in.

Miami-Dade County dog parks
Miami-Dade Parks has three kinds of dog parks. Posted rules: vaccinations up to date, a current rabies tag on the collar, leash until inside the fence, no more than 3 dogs per person, no puppies under 4 months. The county page also still lists 'Pitbulls are not allowed', citing the county ordinance. A 2023 Florida law (HB 941) ended local breed-specific bans, so this line may be outdated: ask the park before you go. Official source
Free-roaming dog parks: Haulover Park (10800 Collins Ave.), Tropical Park (7900 SW 40 St.), Amelia Earhart Park (401 E 65 St., Hialeah), East Greynolds Park (16700 Biscayne Blvd., North Miami Beach), West Kendall District Park (11255 SW 157 Ave).
Dog run park (no water or bag dispensers): Lago Mar Park (8165 SW 162 Ave.).
Haulover Park also has a dog beach with its own rules (linked from the county page).
Loews Miami Beach Hotel (South Beach) and Loews Coral Gables Hotel appear on the Loews Loves Pets page: up to 2 pets, vaccinations required, property rules and cleaning fees may apply.
Four Seasons Hotel Miami lists pet-friendly rooms but no weight or fee on its amenities page: ask the hotel. Source
Before you book
Filter for pet-friendly, then open the hotel’s own policy: fee per night or per stay, weight limit, number of pets, and whether cats are accepted.
Ask whether your pet may stay alone in the room: Motel 6 and Drury say pets should not be left alone.
Service animals are not pets. Ask the hotel how it handles service animals and emotional support animals rather than assuming a pet fee or limit applies.
